WeCare of South Dade is proud to present the third edition of the Homestead/Florida City Social Service Directory!

The purpose of this directory is to inform the community of the current social and human services available in Homestead and Florida City. For more than 18 years, WeCare, a coalition of service providers, business professionals, residents, teachers, and government officials has actively advocated on behalf of the residents of Deep South Dade. The fight for our share of county funds and programs, greater access to services by residents, and overall community development and empowerment has been a long one, and there is still so much more to be done.

In 2001, after discovering that the overall community was unaware of the wealth of human service agencies present in our neighborhoods, WeCare began the development of this directory. Through our membership, existing special needs directories and word of mouth, WeCare identified the list of agencies that make up the directory. We believe our list to be extensive however, we acknowledge that we may have missed a few agencies. If you know of a human services agency in Homestead/Florida City that should have been listed, please provide us with the appropriate information and we will be sure to include them in the next edition.

We hope that this directory enhances communication, promotes agency collaboration and improves service coordination in Deep South Dade. Thank you "WeCare" members for caring and for making Deep South Dade a better place to live.
